I am showing a site-specific adaptation of my poster-series “In eigener Sache/Speaking for Ourselves” as part of Clubs of the Future.

About the installation:

A few years ago, I began collecting magazines from the last year of the GDR, from October 1989 to October 1990. The wall collage developed for the exhibition Kulturhäuser consists of various covers of hobby and nature magazines from this collection printed as posters, excerpts from letters to the editor and editorials from the magazines used, alongside photos from an intervention in Leipzig in 2012, where I had put the posters up on empty shops in Eisenbahnstraße, a so-called social hotspot in Leipzig East.
